There have been a couple concerns posted regarding survival problems. Here are a few tips to help stay alive.

  • After purchasing equipment, make sure you go to the menu, select 'ITEMS' and hit left/right to move the selection boxes over to the sword and shield. This will boost your STR and DEF and allow you to be more effective against enemies.
  • Farm your way up to level 3 before you worry about leaving the first 'world' area on the map.
  • Your first goal should be to head west (past the mansion) and explore the caves. You will find a key in there that will help lead you to your first artifact.

On a distant island resides a god that no one has ever seen.  His name is Torrochi and has suppressed many of the old traditions of an older god named Xyndrahe who disappeared long ago. One such tradition, while it is rumor, involved the use of pumpkins, costumes and candy, but no one seems to understand what this all means and why they were related to one another.

Enter Drakhe, a young and aspiring adventurer. He sets out on a ship to reach the island and learn of the old traditions of Xyndrahe, but what he finds on the island is not what he expected.

Xyndrahe is a RPG featuring bump mechanics; you 'literally' run into the enemy to damage them, though there is strategy behind this method. A direct, frontal assault is most likely to harm the player in the process. Off-center attacks greatly reduces the chances of being attacked and a side/back attack will allow him to attack without being harmed.

  • Changes to the keyboard set will not take place until after the player leaves the OPTIONS page.
  • The default setup when playing for the first time is Keyboard Set 1. If this is an issue, the touch screen buttons can be controlled with a mouse to allow a player access to the OPTIONS page and change the setup to one of the WASD options.

Navigate Drakhe around the island, locate three special artifacts and bring them to Torrochi's temple for the final confrontation.

Menu

Press START to bring up the menu. This can also be done to pause the game.

  • ITEMS - Organize which equipment and items you want to have on-hand. This will affect your equipped sword, shield, ring and which item you can use while on the field (By pressing the B button).
  • LOAD - Load a previously saved game.
  • SAVE - Save your game. This can be done anywhere except when fighting a boss.
  • RETURN - Back to the game.
  • QUIT - You can return to the main menu.

Towns

  • Talk to NPCs and get information on what is going on and clues to where to look for artifacts.
  • Shop at the stores for items and equipment upgrades. Be sure to bring plenty of funds.
  • Visit the shrine and have the servants of Torrochi recover your health (free of charge).

Overworld

  • Navigate the overworld and engage enemies to collect experience to build your levels and character strengths.

Dungeons / Caves

  • Many locations have locked doors which require a key and treasure chests to open and collect items from. Monsters are (typically) more dangerous in caves than on the overworld.

  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to prematurely open the gate to the final boss. Of course, without sufficient level and equipment, the player would not last long.
  • Fixed an issue in the game menu where pressing up/down while given the option to quit the game would place the cursor in an unusual spot on the screen.

  • Found a few more badly placed tiles in one town and the first forest and fixed them.
  • Found the issue that was causing the smallest of stuttering to occur while Drakhe was moving around on the map. The animation should feel much smoother, now.
  • While more of a backend update, some code was changed around to help optimize how fast the game can draw content on the screen.
  • Shops have been given a bit more personality. You can now talk to the shopkeeps to learn some information about the island.

  • Apparently during the last update, much of the title screen concept was broken. It now works as it should. I also shortened the Jam splash screen so the title screen pops up faster.

Am I doing something wrong in Firefox to get this working?? it sticks at the loading screen

does seems fine in Chrome

Sorry I took so long to get back to you.  It took me a while to get back to my system with a suitably powerful enough version of Firefox to verify this.  I didn't run into any problems with the game starting up.
